Deepika And Vicky Kaushal Pairing On The Cards?

There were earlier rumors on social media that Deepika Padukone might join Maddock Films’ Horror Universe.

However, a few reports say that her discussions with the production house are actually for a different project. The team of Mahavatar has begun early talks with Deepika to play the female lead opposite Vicky Kaushal.

The film is based on the legendary, immortal warrior Parashurama and is directed by Amar Kaushik. The project has been in development for a long time and is yet to go on floors.

According to the report the makers have been searching for an actress who can bring strong emotion, depth, and seriousness to the character written opposite Parashurama. Deepika fits that requirement perfectly.

The discussions are still in the early stages but she is one of the top contenders the studio is considering for the role. If finalized, this would be a major casting for Mahavatar.
